A Canadian company has recently demonstrated their new S911 GPS Vest, which the company describes as a high coverage assault protection designed for military and tactical law enforcement. The vest comprise DuPont Kevlar material with IIIA Ballistic Protection and armor plate standard Level of NIJ IIIA, III, and IV. Among the features the vest offers: continuously checks and provides the officer’s real time location and key information using GPS, virtual fence in/out alert, shot impact alert, tactical mission analysis, and man down alert. The Vest also provides an automatic GPS tracking position, time, impact, and breadcrumb trail for mission analysis and response. This feature assists security personel detect target dispositions, view tactical operations via global map, and provide early warning mechanism.
